Installing your tracker
This Installation Policy applies to MotR Secure trackers. MotR Secure offers two installation routes.
Plus — self-install
Plus devices are designed for self-installation. We provide instructions and the accessories needed. You are responsible for fitting the device securely and safely in line with our guidance. If you are unsure, we recommend asking a qualified fitter.
Pro — professional installation
Pro devices are hard-wired and require professional installation arranged by MotR. We will propose an installation date and, where relevant, a fitter. You must make the vehicle available at the agreed time and provide safe access to it.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure the vehicle is safe to work on and accessible at the agreed time.
- Provide accurate vehicle details so the correct device and method are used.
- Follow any guidance on charging, positioning and powering the device.
Reinstallation
If you transfer a tracker to another vehicle, a Pro device must be reinstalled professionally. Fees may apply. See the MotR Secure Terms.
Liability
Where installation is self-managed, you are responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by incorrect fitting. For professional installation, we will work with you to resolve issues arising from the fitting.
