Data Protection Rights / Privacy Request Guide

This guide explains the rights individuals have over their personal data held by MotR and how to exercise them. It is a draft for completion.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you may have the right to:

• Be informed about how we use your data;
• Access your personal data (a subject access request);
• Rectify inaccurate personal data;
• Erase your personal data in certain circumstances;
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances;
• Object to processing (including direct marketing);
• Data portability for data you provided in a structured format;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• Complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

How to make a request

Submit requests through the Support Centre using the "Data request" category, or contact us using the details in our Privacy Policy. We will verify your identity and respond, usually within one month. We may extend this by two months for complex requests and will tell you why.

Fleet drivers

If you are a driver tracked through a MotR Fleet customer, your employer is usually the controller for that tracking. We recommend contacting your employer first; we will assist where we act as processor and direct you appropriately.

Children

MotR is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
